Jo Aylward

“For some time my work has been based almost exclusively in still life, with the things I surround myself with in my home and studio forming the main source of inspiration. Recently I have become more selective in my choice of subject. Often the objects have a connection to someone I know or have been given to me by family members. I like the idea that although the paintings depict objects and landscapes, they are in some way about people too."

Jo trained at the Kent Institute of Art & Design, Maidstone and at Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds.
